Dear Prospective Conference Participants,
We invite you to the 16th Conference on Child Sexual Abuse Online, streaming live online on September 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. (CEST).
The Conference aims to unite professionals from various fields who may encounter online child sexual abuse in their line of work. This includes individuals in law enforcement agencies, the legal system, non-governmental organizations, legislative bodies, school counselling, education, and social work.
This year's conference will focus on emerging forms of online child sexual abuse, factors contributing to offending, and effective responses by professionals working to address these challenges.
The program will include three lectures in English:
Tijana Popovic from the Belgian child protection organisation Child Focus will present how artificial intelligence is transforming the landscape of child sexual abuse. Her presentation will explore emerging technology-driven threats, including the use of AI in the creation and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Valeriia Soloveva from the child rights organisation Protect Children will present recent research findings on online child sexual violence, with a particular focus on perpetrator behaviour across the digital ecosystem, including the platforms, technologies, and online environments used to search for, view, and share CSAM.
Philip Baines from the UK's Marie Collins Foundation will present on Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) and Technology-Assisted Harmful Sexual Behaviours (TA-HSB). His presentation will provide practical guidance and understanding for safeguarding professionals working with these challenges.
