14th Conference on Child Sexual Abuse Online

Dear Prospective Conference Participants,

We invite you to the 14th Conference on Child Sexual Abuse Online, streaming live online on September 30, 2024, from 9.00 AM to 2.00 PM. The Conference aims to unite professionals from various fields who may encounter online child sexual abuse in their line of work. This includes individuals in law enforcement agencies, the legal system, non-governmental organizations, legislative bodies, school counselling, education, and social work.

This year's conference will look at some of the risk factors for sexual exploitation on the internet and the psychological impact of online sexual abuse on children.

The program will include three lectures (in English):

  • Catherine Knibbs, a Clinical Doctoral Researcher, Consultant, Public Speaker, Author, and Child Trauma Psychotherapist who specializes in cybertrauma. She will present what the signs of various kinds of cybertrauma are and how to support children suffering from them.
  • Boris Radanović from the UK's Safer Internet Centre. He will present some of the risk factors for child sexual abuse on the internet and the StopNCII.org tool that can help victims of abuse to remove intimate images from the internet.
  • Niels Van Paemel from Child Focus, a Belgian child protection organisation. He will present how artificial intelligence, and deepnudes specifically, are changing the landscape of online sexual abuse.
