Report processing

Spletno oko is collecting anonymous reports regarding child pornography and hate speech found on the Internet. Spletno oko sends those reports to the law enforcement authority.

Any person browsing the Internet can make an anonymous report, whenever they think that they came across illegal web content: child pornography or hate speech.

Firstly, a reporting person fills in a reporting form. The crucial information to be entered into the reporting form is the web address of the allegedly illegal web page.

The Spletno oko hotline then process the report. If reported contents is estimated as potentially illegal, the report is sent to the Police.

During the whole procedure (from reporting illegal web contents to the action taken in accordance with Slovenian law) the hotline and law enforcement agency are concerned with content of the report only. No data regarding reporting person is stored.
